Job Quality Curriculum Development

US Chamber of Commerce Foundation

The Challenge

Increasing job quality for more American workers is essential to a healthy economy, successful businesses, strong communities, thriving families, and a well-functioning democracy. Yet only 44 percent of working people in the US report having a “good job,”.

Trailhead Strategies developed the curriculum and learning objectives for a 90-minute specialty course included in the Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) Academy. This course allows TPM practitioners to improve the overall quality of the job itself. This is important because it will not only improve recruitment and worker satisfaction, but also leads to a more holistic approach when addressing employer pain points and achieving an ROI.

The curriculum will walk through definitions, benchmarking exercises, considerations, and practical resources to assist employers in improving these eight job quality features for critical jobs. The curriculum includes case studies, definitions, reflection questions, tools, and examples for practitioners to take action, all within the context of TPM.
